ARCH Regional Event, 4 October 2017 in London 25/08/2017 Labelled as Development, Finance, Legislation

After the fire at Grenfell Tower on 14 June and the General Election, the Housing Minister and the government are beginning to refocus on its wider housing policies.

At this event you will find out the latest on the government's housing policies following the publication of the Housing White Paper earlier this year and the General Election in May.

We will also cover the latest on the Government's plans for "bespoke housing deals" announced in the White Paper, building new "fixed term council housing" announced in the Conservative Election Manifesto and the future of the High Value Asset Levy and introduction of Fixed Term Tenancies under Part 4 of the Housing and Planning Act.

We'll also be taking a look at the outcome of our latest research into use of HRA borrowing headroom and the role that Local Housing Companies (LHC) are playing in meeting housing demand.

We will also be examining the wider implications of the Grenfell Tower fire for social housing and the Prime Minister's promise that the broader questions on social housing policy raised by this fire.

Our Regional Events are becoming increasingly popular and places are limited. ARCH member councils are entitled to two free places at this event on a first come first served basis.  Book your place here.
