We are pleased to confirm that Milton Keynes Council has joined ARCH as
the newest member of the Association. We would like to extend a
very warm welcome to elected members, tenants and officers of the
council.
ARCH aims to provide the stock retained sector
with a strong voice and we are beginning to have a substantial
influence on the housing debate. With the Government poised to take
forward significant reforms to social housing, emerging from the
consultation on the Social Housing Green Paper, now more than ever,
it is important that we continue to make the case for council
housing. Milton Keynes' decision to join ARCH brings our total
membership up to 69 member councils and the larger our membership
base, the stronger that voice will be.
We welcome our colleagues from Milton Keynes
and trust that elected members, tenants and officers will
contribute fully to the work of ARCH and make the most of the
benefits of ARCH membership and the ARCH network of stock retained
councils.
