It's great to see the ARCH Tenant Group playing a part in
changing the often unfair image of council housing and two of our
representatives on the ARCH Tenant Group have hit the headlines for
their work in supporting the Benefit to
Society Campaign.
ARCH Tenant Group representative - Kettering's Martyn Lund is
recognised in the local Northamptonshire media for the work he has
been doing to help produce the National Journalists' guide to Fair Reporting of
Social Housing.
Similarly Tenant Group representative David Bown from South
Derbyshire has featured in his local press and has been interviewed
on Radio Derby recently regarding his involvement in the production
of this booklet. David said:
"In this booklet, tenants speak out about how they are currently
represented, the impact this has on them and their ideas on how to
promote social housing in a fairer and more balanced way.
"Here in South Derbyshire, many Council tenants play a positive
role within their communities - and this should be shouted about
and promoted."
