CLG Select Committee Inquiry into Homelessness launched
The CLG Select Committee of MPs has announced an inquiry into
the causes of homelessness and the measures taken by national and
local governments to prevent and respond to it. The Committee has
called for written evidence to be submitted by 8 February.
ARCH is considering making a submission and member authorities
are asked to contribute evidence to be included in it, particularly
in relation to the relationship between homelessness and the
availability of social housing and the capacity of local
authorities to respond effectively to current levels of
homelessness.
Evidence should be sent to Matthew Warburton, ARCH Policy
Adviser, preferably by 1 February 2016.
