Following a significant rise in complaints about disrepair, the
Housing Ombudsman is calling for evidence from landlords and
residents about issues in housing maintenance. Separate
online surveys of landlord and resident experiences explore the
following:
- What are the main issues landlords face when contracting
services, their root causes, and what impact do they have?
- What problems do residents encounter with these services, the
underlying reasons, and their effect?
- What barriers do operatives experience in delivering services,
their root causes, and what are the repercussions?
- What are the lessons learned from cases with no
maladministration and successful initiatives within the
sector?
