Proposals to streamline the resale of shared ownership properties

Providers of shared ownership housing with grant from the AHP are required to include clauses in the lease reserving the right to nominate a purchaser when the shared ownership householder wishes to sell. The Government is consulting on whether this provision is a barrier to onward sale of shared ownership leases and whether it should be retained or amended.
